This trouser skirt was designed by Mary McFadden known for her pleated dresses and a major American designer in the 1980s. She was smart in the fact that she did a lot of separates. This piece could be worn with one of her pleated jackets or a beaded blouse. The pants themselves are shear and you can see your leg especially when you walk. The skirt portion that drapes over the pants is double chiffon sewn together and is on the diagonal like a sarong skirt from Thailand. A versatile piece to have in one’s wardrobe.
